Gubernur Sumbar Irwan Prayitno dan Kapolda Sumbar Irjen Toni Harmanto mengapresiasi Taman Pangan Terpadu seluas 390 meter² yang berada di bagian belakang Polres Payakumbuh, Rabu siang (17/6).

Kunjungan ke Taman Pangan Terpadu Polres Payakumbuh dilakukan sebelum Gubernur, Kapolda dan Danrem 032/Wirabraja meninjau Kampung Tangguh Nusantara dalam rangka mempelajari keberhasilan (best practices) dan role model penanganan Covid berbasis kearifan lokal dimana masyarakat secara mandiri dan swadaya, bergotong royong atasi Covid-19 dan dampaknya.

Gubernur dan Kapolda sempat memanen beberapa telur ayam langsung dari kandang ayam petelur dan mencicipi jeruk serta meninjau seluruh taman pangan terpadu yang terdiri dari tanaman hidroponik, aquaponik, selokan yang dijadikan kolam ikan, kolam terpal, budidaya lele dalam drum dan tanaman pangan lainnya.

“Wah, ini program ketahanan pangan pak kapolres bisa mengalahkan milik Dinas Pertanian,” ucap Gubernur Sumbar. Sementara Kapolda Sumbar mengatakan “Ini ide yang sangat kreatif. Lahan yang sempit bisa dimanfaatkan untuk menjaga ketahanan pangan. Lengkap ada pertanian, berbagai jenis tanaman dalam polybag, hidroponik aquaponik, perikanan dan peternakan“.

Kapolres Payakumbuh AKBP Dony Setiawan didampingi oleh Walikota Payakumbuh Riza Falepi, Wakil Walikota Payakumbuh Erwin Yunaz mengatakan bahwa Taman Pangan Terpadu tersebut menggabungkan konsep Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL) dan pertanian terpadu yang merupakan prioritas pembangunan pertanian nasional.

“Pembangunan Taman Pangan Terpadu ini didukung oleh bapak Walikota dan dibantu secara teknis oleh dinas terkait yaitu Dinas Pertanian dan Peternakan dan Dinas Ketahanan Pangan Kota Payakumbuh“, pungkas Kapolres.

Menurutnya, selain untuk menjaga ketahanan dan kemandirian pangan dalam menghadapi dampak wabah Covid-19, taman tersebut juga diharapkan bisa menjadi inspirasi bagi personelnya.

Lebih lanjut Kapolres Payakumbuh menerangkan bahwa Taman Pangan Terpadu Polres Payakumbuh terdiri dari 1 kolam semen yang berisikan ikan mas, nila dan gurame, 2 kolam terpal yang berisikan ikan mas dan 3 drum untuk budidaya lele.

“Masing-masing kolam ikan tersebut dimanfaatkan untuk menanam kangkung dengan sistem aquaponik dengan jumlah kurang lebih sebanyak 266 netpot dan botol aqua bekas”. Selain itu ada juga 2 unit instalasi hidroponik yang masing-masing berukuran 2,25 Meter X 4,60 meter dan 3,50 meter X 6 meter dengan total lubang tanam sebanyak 783 lobang yang ditanami sayur-sayuran jenis Pakcoi, selada dan seledri“, jelas Kapolres.

Selain itu lanjut Kapolres, terdapat kurang lebih 479 tanaman jenis bawang merah, cabe merah, cabe rawit, daun bawang, daun selederi, terong, sawi, kembang kol, tomat, jeruk, daun jeruk, jahe dan kunyit yang ditanam dengan media tanah baik langsung maupun menggunakan polybag.

“Sedangkan untuk peternakan, tanaman pangan terpadu dilengkapi dengan 3 kandang ayam petelur yang terdiri dari 72 ekor ayam dengan produksi telur kurang lebih 10 sampai dengan 20 butir per hari. Hasil tanaman pangan dan telur tersebut dimasukkan ke dalam showcase ketika jumlahnya cukup banyak, kami bagikan kepada personel dan masyarakat sekitar Polres yang membutuhkan“, sambung Kapolres.

Ir. Depi Sastra Kadis Pertanian Kota Payakumbuh yang ikut membantu pembangunan Taman Pangan Terpadu Polres Payakumbuh mengatakan “saya sangat mendukung inovasi Polres Payakumbuh. Taman Pangan Terpadu yang berisikan tanaman pangan, perikanan dan peternakan ditambah lagi hidroponik dan aquaponik memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan sejengkal lahan untuk pemenuhan pangan keluarga“.

Begitu pula Edvidel Arda Kadis Ketahanan Pangan Kota Payakumbuh yang ikut mendukung pembangunan Taman Pangan Polres sangat mengapresiasi kepedulian Polres dalam menjaga ketahanan dan kemandirian pangan.

“Kami salut atas apa yang telah dilaksanakan oleh Kapolres dan jajaran terkait pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan secara terpadu. Pekarangan telah dimanfaatkan secara optimal dengan tanaman produktif yaitu sayur-sayuran, bumbu dapur, baik yang ditanam di dalam polybag, media hidroponik maupun yang langsung ditanam di tanah secara organik. Selain itu juga ada budikdamber (budidaya ikan dalam ember) yang sedang digemari oleh masyarakat serta ternak ayam petelur mini“, ujar Edvidel.

Edviel juga berharap apa yang telah dilaksanakan dapat bermanfaat bagi warga sekitar, berkelanjutan sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pangan keluarga serta dapat dicontoh oleh masyarakat dan instansi lainnya.

Kapolda Sumbar Memberikan Bantuan Sembako Kepada Warga Yang Membutuhkan

Pada kesempatan yang sama usai meninjau Taman Pangan Terpadu, Kapolda Sumbar bersama pejabat utama Polda Sumbar membagikan 100 paket Sembako untuk warga yang membutuhkan. Sembako yang dibagikan terdiri dari masing-masing 5 KG beras dari Mabes Polri ditambah hasil ketahanan pangan sumbangan personel Polres Payakumbuh yang memiliki usaha pertanian berupa tomat, terong, cabe, ubi, jeruk telur ayam dan telur bebek.
