Pedagang Pasar Kanopi Kota Payakumbuh menggelar aksi protes kepada petugas gabungan yang sedang berjaga di Check Point Pasar Kanopi Payakumbuh, Jumat (22/5) sore. Aksi protes dilakukan dengan cara berteriak-teriak sambil membongkar paksa pagar pembatas akses jalan masuk Pasar Kanopi Payakumbuh.

Aksi Protes Pedagang

Aksi protes ini terjadi setelah Gugus Tugas Covid-19 Kota Payakumbuh memasang pagar pembatas besi untuk menutup akses masuk ke Pasar Kanopi. Pembatas itu dipasang agar pengunjung pasar tidak parkir di bawah Kanopi yang menyebabkan penyempitan jalan dan bertumpuknya kendaraan/orang.

Kondisi Parkir Pasar Kanopi Sebelum Penertiban

Kapolres Payakumbuh AKBP Dony mengatakan pembatas tersebut dipasang karena 1 hari sebelumnya Kamis siang (21/5), Pasar Kanopi terpantau penuh sesak orang dan kendaraan yang diparkir hingga menutup jalan serta tidak terjaminnya physical distancing dan dikhawatirkan terbuka peluang terjadi penularan Covid-19.

AKBP Dony mengatakan “mengingat Pasar tersebut adalah awal klaster penyebaran Covid-19 di Kota Payakumbuh dan untuk menjamin physical distancing di pasar tersebut, Gugus Tugas memutuskan untuk memisahkan tempat parkir pengunjung dengan lokasi berjualan dengan melarang parkir di bawah Pasar Kanopi. Parkir diarahkan ke Jl Jend Sudirman dan Jalan A.Yani sebelum masuk Pasar Kanopi. Lalu disiapkan Check Point sebagai pintu masuk bagi pedagang dan pengunjung untuk pengecekan suhu, cuci tangan dan pengecekan penggunaan masker”

Menurutnya aksi protes pedagang itu terjadi karena salah paham. “Pedagang mengamuk karena ada petugas Checkpoint yang melarang mereka masuk ke dalam pasar untuk berjualan. Nah ini yang salah. Gugus tugas Payakumbuh tidak pernah melarang mereka jualan, yang dibatasi sementara waktu adalah parkir di bawah Pasar Kanopi bagi pengunjung pasar“, ujar Kapolres.

Menurut Dony, karena pedagang mengira mereka dilarang berjualan, akhirnya mereka melakukan aksi protes dan membuka pagar pembatas. “Meskipun tidak terjadi bentrok fisik, harusnya kesalahpahaman ini tidak perlu terjadi. Saya mewakili Gugus Tugas meminta maaf atas kejadian ini, selanjutnya akan kita bahas solusinya bersama Forkopimda“, kata Dony.

Perwakilan Pedagang Menyampaikan Tuntutannya

Para pedagang pun membubarkan diri usai bermusyawarah dengan Wakapolres Payakumbuh Kompol Arie, Kabag Ops Kompol Bresman dan Kasat Pol PP Devitra. Wakapolres mengatakan untuk sementara waktu pedagang meminta agar pagar pembatas dibuka dan parkir diperbolehkan satu lajur saja. (Hms)
